Yesterday's 37 week appointment and ultrasound brought good news and good scores. :) Baby Fish made an 8 out of 8 on his ultrasound test. We weren't 100% sure what that meant, but 100% on any test sounds good to us--it's going on the fridge! Beano was "head down" and we confirmed that his feet and knees are definitely responsible for using my right side and ribs as a punching bag. He is running out of room in there, but looked pretty comfortable nonetheless! The ultrasound tech tried to show us his 4D picture, but every time she switched to do so, he put his hand over his face as to say, "Not yet Mom & Dad, be patient!" Point taken son...we'll see you soon enough!
The doctor's appointment went well too. Still no further progress, but she said that was completely normal and she did expect to see me next week. Next week is Homecoming at work and since I've vowed to be there for it, her news isn't bad. After next Saturday though, he better get a little more anxious about getting out of there.
We celebrated all the good news with our "Last Supper," as we named it, out with friends last night. It was our last chance to go to a nice dinner OUT before the baby arrives and it was the start of my birthday week celebration! Believe it or not readers, I have hardly realized my birthday was approaching, which if you know me, is completely out of character. Maybe this mom thing is all-consuming!! We had a great time and amazing food and enjoyed every minute of being out without worrying about getting back to the babysitter or without going broke to pay for one. Start volunteering now if you want some quality time with Beano after he's here, we're still going to need to get out of the house!
