16 Months

Lofton hit the 16 month mark last week. Man, I couldn't begin to tell you all he is doing now. Hopefully the recent videos have shown how talkative and how active he is at 16 months. Here are some updates...

* New words include: car (and goes "beep beep"), light, baby, push, water, outside, please, down and tickle

* Does sounds for: Sheep says "baa," cat says "meow," bird says "tweet tweet," train says "choo choo," duck says "quack," pig snorts, alligator says "chomp chomp" (with arm motions!)

* Knows all of the following body parts (some new, some old): Eyes, ears, nose, toes, hands, hair, tongue, teeth, and belly

* RUNS Everywhere...like runs fast!

* Goes to bed completely on own now...no milk, no rocking, no reading...just puts on pjs and lays down. This is a great thing, don't get me wrong, but I sure do miss my special rocking time with my little boy. He just seems like such a big boy now. :(

* Loves grilled cheese, cheese, peanut butter sandwiches, yogurt, oatmeal, mac 'n cheese (sometimes) and definitely his favorite food is pizza!

* Super attached to "pass" and "bear bear" (paci & his lovie blanket)

* Loves to be outside and especially if it involves the water table or the pool

* Can't get enough ice cream...that's my boy!

* Plays Ring Around the Rosie

* Almost has all 4 molars in, and has 13-14 teeth total (it's hard to count!)

* LOVES brushing his teeth. He likes for you to do it, but gets extra proud to do it himself, which he is actually pretty good at doing.

That's our Lofton at 16 months. This truly has been one of the most fun times for both David and I. It has been so great to watch his personality become his own. Love our little Lofton!
