Lofton is all right-handed, just like me. He eats with his right, writes with his right (when he is trying anyway), and it's clearly his dominant hand. Well, when I was growing up, my sister and I were the same way and my dad taught us to bat left-handed. This is genius, by the way! It sets you up to be a prized possesion on little league teams and gives you several advantages...closer to the base when running, great for drag bunting, hard to pitch to, etc. Anyway, I've been trying, much to David's eye rolling, to get Lofton to bat left handed too.
