Since we're on a "big boy" theme, I thought I'd share a cute/funny anecdote. One morning this week I told Lofton to come brush his teeth before school. He said he didn't want to and I told him, "Lofton, big boys have to brush their teeth before going to school." That's all it took for him to comply.
Well that night, he didn't want to take a bath, which is rare for him. I went back to what had worked earlier and said, "Lofton, big boys take baths!" He marched out of the bathroom and said, "MOM, THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!"
