Tummy Time & New Feats at Five Weeks!

Lofton is 5 weeks old today! We had a great week and definitely enjoy watching his new feats each day. He's becoming much more alert during his awake time and his personality is exploding! We went on a family outing today and everyone who saw him couldn't believe how cute he was (of course) and how alert he was. His big eyes are always taking it all in.









This week we really began pushing tummy time. Up until now, he hasn't enjoyed it much so we usually just did what we could while he laid on our chests. However, with his neck strength has come a greater appreciation for his "tummy time!" He actually started smiling during it this week and he seemed to have fun, at least for awhile. It at least made for some cute photos!









Lofton has some new favorite places to be with Daddy. Below is one of Lofton's (and David's) favorite napping places and his new favorite way to travel in style--the Baby Bjorn!














And, for those of you that knew me as a child, you will appreciate this. I was an expert pouter. In fact, I remember giving my sister pouting lessons--lip out, arms crossed and up, evil stare. Lofton lately has shown us that he has mom's skill for pouting, at least the lip out and evil stare parts!! It's just too cute to even be very sympathetic. :)
